This blog was born on April 14, 2018, when Dave Krieger, then the editorial page editor of the Boulder Daily Camera, created it to publish an editorial that was spiked by the paper’s publisher. The editorial called out the Camera’s owner, Alden Global Capital, a hedge fund based in New York City. Eleven days later, on April 25, the Camera’s publisher fired Krieger for this transgression.
